Alcoholism is the most pervasive substance abuse problem in America. Almost 17.6 million adults are addicted to alcohol, and 43 percent of the people in the U.S. have dealt with alcoholism among their family members. In addition, alcohol costs the American populace $100 million in healthcare expenses, and it is a factor in 50 percent of all traffic deaths, 47 percent of all manufacturing injuries and 40 percent of all industrial casualties. Each year, 17,488 people die on the roads due to alcohol, 1,467,300 people are arrested, and many people experience spousal abuse, cancer, liver problems and brain damage. At Bayshore, we understand that the disease of alcoholism has four main features and four primary causes. Alcoholics experience an intense craving for alcohol, an inability to control their alcohol intake and symptoms of withdrawal when not drinking. Over time, they also deal with a tolerance to alcohol that requires them to need increasingly greater amounts of the substance to experience the same effects. These problems can be caused by past life events, a chemical imbalance in their bodies, ineffective mechanisms for coping with stress and life situations, or untrue belief systems. Often, several or all of these issues are involved in the problem at once. During our florida alcohol rehab program, we address all of these factors in small, six-person group sessions.

During this program, we will help you heal the physical problems associated with your alcohol problem through healthy meals provided by our in-house chef, yoga workouts, dry sauna sessions and massage therapy. We will also work on healing your mind from the thought patterns that are contributing to your alcoholism, using 20 different treatment options. We will blend all of this with a spiritual healing program that will allow you to discover your own spirituality or improve your spiritual connection, and we will also include many different outings to help you have fun, relax, and integrate into the real world after the program is over.
