Destin is also known as the “world’s luckiest fishing village” and is the home to Florida’s largest fishing fleet. Deep sea bottom fishing is excellent year round here, while inshore trolling runs from March through November. Charter boats are available for half-day, all day and overnight trips. And if you have your heart set on catching the really big one, offshore trolling for billfish is also available throught charters out of Destin.
Destin is within an hour’s drive of three airports, allowing for reasonable and easy flights.
